HMI Programmer
Human Machine Interface (HMI) Programmer
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
– Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production line and facility equipment
– Perform preventive maintenance routines on all equipment
– Assist in the design and installation of new equipment or layouts
– Assist with the operation of production line equipment
– System troubleshooting techniques including schematic reading
– Machining of parts, use of the lathe, mill grinders, etc.
– Pump repairs centrifugal and positive displacement
– Must be able to participate in company’s emergency response team
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
-5 years of industrial automation experience or a 3-year apprenticeship in electrical or equivalent trade
– Courses from a junior college or technical institute, job-related seminars and ongoing education
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
– Experience working in a Cosmetics/Food/Pharma/Equipment manufacturer
– Experience with automated and high speed packaging equipment
– Strong electrical, instrumentation and PLC (Programmable Logic Control) programming and troubleshooting experience PLC’s-specifically Allen Bradley; Siemens Knowledge of AC/DC drives and related electrical controls
– Experience with utility-related equipment boilers, water systems, air compressors, HVAC Maintain proper housekeeping in all areas
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
– Knowledge of and experience with computerized maintenance management systems
– Knowledge of MS/DOS, Windows, MS Word, Excel and other computer applications High school diploma / general education degree (GED) required; and Military or a technical associate’s degree preferred
– Bilingual in Spanish preferred
